Above of Colfosco, the Edelweißvalley is a small skiarea. It is perfect for families who want to start the first "long" runs with their children. And also a good place to sun!
The Edelweißvalley is providing 3 smaller slopes all running into the (near) flat mainslope down to Colfosco. The middle one is more a training slope for beginners, beside that the steaper 500 m slope from the Col Pradat and at last the 1200 m long Forcellesslope, an enjoyment early in a sunny the morning.
Former a tip of secret, today the terminal of the Col Pradat Gondola is the Col Pradat hut. On the southly situated terrace you have a phantastic panorama view to the Sella Group with the Val Mezdi, the Grödnerjoch and as well to Corvara with the skiregion behind ("Ski round about", Cherz, Lagazoui). Also here is a take off for Paragliders.
A second nice viewpoint is at the end of the Forcelles seat-lift. Also here you have a beautiful view to the Sella Group and into the Val Mezdi. Provided that you have a binocular with you or you have eyes like an eagle you can watch the skiers (if any in) mastering the Val Mezdi off piste
What were the owner's thoughts to provide such a small "skicorner" with such powerfull gondolas is a secret of their own. Resulting that on sunny days the slopes are overcrowd with skiers so that skiing is getting a dangerous adventure. Then, it only helps to sit down in one of the 3 huts!
Back on the slope to Colfosco we admire a architectural masterpiece: A superwide skibridge crossing the mainstreet - "the bridge of sighs" is disfiguring the village
